It's OK to have positive spin
Posted by: osugrad21.2 - 11-09-2009, 06:40 PM - Forum: Buckeye Football - No Replies

If you thought three weeks ago the Buckeyes were Rose Bowl-bound, raise your hand -- or did you forget you used it to shield your eyes during the Purdue debacle? After that egg-laying by Terrelle Pryor in West Lafayette, OSU looked destined for an 8-4 finish and a trip to Florida for one of those second-tier New Year's Day bowl games.

There is so much money flying around college football that sometimes we lose sight of what we're watching.

Buckeyes Roll To 24-7 Victory At Penn State
Posted by: osugrad21.2 - 11-09-2009, 06:40 PM - Forum: Buckeye Football - No Replies

Ohio State used a pair of second-half touchdown to break open a tight game and roll to a 24-7 victory over 11th-ranked Penn State. The win, coupled with Iowa's loss to Northwestern earlier in the day, sets the stage for next week's battle between OSU and the Hawkeyes with the Big Ten championship and Rose Bowl berth on the line.

Pryor Stars In Home State As Buckeyes Roll
Posted by: osugrad21.2 - 11-09-2009, 06:40 PM - Forum: Buckeye Football - No Replies

All eyes -- and there were a lot of them, considering the 110,033 fans in Beaver Stadium was the fourth-most ever in the facility -- were on Terrelle Pryor on Saturday, and the sophomore quarterback responded by leading a big win. Pryor was ready to go, the OSU coaches said, and accounted for three touchdowns in the Buckeyes' 24-7 win.

Pryor To Posey Spelled Doom For PSU
Posted by: osugrad21.2 - 11-09-2009, 06:40 PM - Forum: Buckeye Football - No Replies

Penn State and Ohio State were locked in an old-fashioned slugfest Saturday until the Buckeyes decided to take their shot. After running on first down for nearly the first three quarters, OSU ran a playaction fake deep pass from Terrelle Pryor to DeVier Posey that gave the Buckeyes a 17-7 lead and ended Penn State's threat. Find out how the play worked in this piece.

Special teams had the expected impact on the game, although turnovers did not. We look at those two items as well as the battle in the trenches, the poise of Terrelle Pryor and the Buckeyes ability to score either quickly and methodically during a 24-7 victory at Penn State.

Buckeyes Playing With Real Bullets Tonight
Posted by: osugrad21.2 - 11-09-2009, 06:40 PM - Forum: Buckeye Football - No Replies

A few things are not as Ohio State head coach Thad Matta thought they would be when the 2009-10 men's basketball season kicks off tonight. The opponent for the Buckeyes is different, and someone else will be handling the opening tip for them. Other than that, it's time to go as OSU helps kick off the season for the entire nation.
