Ohio State freshman wideout Devin Smith had a solid start to his Buckeye career this fall by tying for the team lead in catches, but he wasn't ready to give up his second sport, either. As a result, Smith is working with the Buckeye track and field team right now, and his love of competing in a different sport is fine with new head coach Urban Meyer.

<!--start image--><!-- end image-->When Tim Beckman took over as head coach at Illinois in December he already knew the recruiting landscape in the Midwest from having led Toledo's program the previous three years. That experience taught him that one of the region's most prolific prep programs is Glenville High in Cleveland, and Beckman has dipped into the Tarblooder's talent pool for a second time in the 2012 class.
