Tyler Moeller, the player who mans Ohio State's hybrid linebacker/safety Star position, is back for a sixth collegiate season and looking for a successful end to his time in Scarlet and Gray. Now a veteran, the 6-0, 210-pound Moeller is grateful to be back on the field once again.

First-year head coach Luke Fickell announced Tuesday that Ohio State's captains will be chosen weekly. At the end of the season, however, the team will make its vote to see who will go down in the record books.

Things rarely go according to plan for freshman kickers in college football, and Drew Basil found that out in 2010. A year older and wiser, now Basil hopes for a breakout campaign this year. He's had a solid camp and says he's ready to take over full-time kicking duties from Devin Barclay.

  Zips Bring New Look To Ohio Stadium

Ohio State opens the 2011 campaign Saturday against a team that doesn't have to go very far to reach Ohio Stadium in the Akron Zips. The Zips are coming off of a tough first year under head coach Rob Ianello, but the team has a new quarterback, a new defensive coordinator and hopes to surprise some people in 2011.
